Adam Hassell grew up in Oregon, was always interested in health and science. After doing a 2-year missionary service for my church in BC, Canada, Adam went to undergrad at BYU-Idaho with an animal science major. After pursuing a career in animal science and applying to veterinary school, he realized that his true passion was helping people with their needs.
Adam quickly transitioned from animal medicine to human medicine and moved to Arizona in 2015 to attend NAU’s Physician Assistant program. He was awarded the NHSC scholarship and served in community health as a primary care provider in Glendale for 2 years.
After building a solid foundation in general medicine, Adam transitioned to Backfit Health + Spine in late 2019. His goal within patient care is to establish rapport and connect with patients in a way that allows everyone to collaboratively work together to increase functionality, mobility, decrease pain levels, and keep them living the life they want to live.
Adam’s number one priority is family and when he’s not at work, he and his family are usually doing something fun. He’s married with 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. They enjoy hiking, skiing/snowboarding, running, anything in the mountains, swimming, wake surfing, home improvement, and golfing.
