Dr. Katressa “Katie” Regione is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Central Arizona College. With a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Katie brings a unique blend of medical expertise, rural health insight, and a genuine passion for helping people.

Dr. Katie holds an APRN license in Arizona, is ANCC board certified, and has a Rural Health Certificate that equips her to address the challenges of underserved communities and telemedicine. Her clinical residency in Arizona City gave her hands-on experience treating a wide range of chronic and acute conditions, from COPD and diabetes to joint injections and minor emergency procedures. This experience deeply shaped her belief that every patient deserves to be heard, respected, and cared for with empathy.

In addition to her medical training, Dr. Katie has volunteered with the Genesis Project in Apache Junction, serving hot meals to those in need. Since graduating, she has expanded her clinical skills to include trigger point therapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments.

Dr. Katie chose BackFit Health + Spine because of its unique, collaborative, and holistic approach to care—values that align with her mission to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. She’s excited to work alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide both specialty and primary care services.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Dr. Katie immersed in a thriller novel, adding to her collections of enamel pins and comic books, or planning her next trip to Disneyland. A proud Marvel and Star Wars enthusiast, she’s just as passionate about her fandoms as she is about patient care.
