DR. ORLANDO HUBBELL
CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN – PHOENIX LOCATION
Dr. Hubbell always wanted to be a chiropractor. Since high school, Dr. Hubbell has made preparations to attend chiropractic school. He even proclaimed at his high school graduation reception. But as the saying goes, when we are busy making plans, life happens. Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
Dr. Hubbell grew up in St. Michaels, Arizona, located on the Navajo Reservation. He is an enrolled member of the Diné Nation. His maternal clan is ‘Áshįįhi (Salt People) and his paternal clan is Dibéłizhinií (Black Sheep).
Dr. Hubbell graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Exercise Science, in 1999. That same year he married his college sweetheart, Jennifer. And in 2001 welcomed a bouncing baby boy, Ethan. Who, by the way, is starting high school very soon!
Dr. Hubbell worked for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in Scottsdale as an Exercise Specialist under the Diabetes Prevention Program. And was a personal trainer at Life Time Fitness. Where he met the wonderful Dr. Yasmin Rahimi and encouraged Dr. Hubbell to apply at BackFit as an Exercise Therapist. Dr. Hubbell worked four years at BackFit helping patients with physical rehabilitation.
In 2011, Dr. Hubbell was once again faced with his long awaited dream of being a chiropractor. When a family member (who attended his high school graduation reception many moons ago) asked if he was a chiropractor yet. So, with the support of his family, Dr. Hubbell applied and was accepted to Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose, California. With the tremendous support of his family and his parents, they loaded up the biggest U-Haul they could find and headed out west.
In March 2015, Dr. Hubbell earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer. And with the vote of the Palmer Clinical Professors, Dr. Hubbell won the coveted Clinical Excellence Award. Given to the one student who exemplifies the highest standard of chiropractic care. Dr. Hubbell was an active student while attending Palmer College. He served as a member of the Palmer Sports Council, promoting chiropractic care at local Bay Area sporting events. Dr. Hubbell was also a Campus Guide for Palmer. Helping new and prospective students feel welcome.
Dr. Hubbell has come full circle as they say. Dr. Hubbell didn’t wake up one day and decided to become a chiropractor. He has always believed in chiropractic care. He is ready to help patients regain form, function, and balance. Dr. Hubbell is proud and honored to be back with the amazing team at BackFit Health and Spine to continue promoting the benefits of chiropractic care.
